Yeah!, it's time to coming back to Central America to meet one of these most prolific band. We go to Mexico to talk with RÜZER! Viva Rebel Empire!

1. Can you please, introduce the band, his history and the members?
Rüzer:
Rebel Empire was created as an answer, a shout, a claim to those people who imposed us and think we have no will or rights. Rights that hypocritically themselves have wrote in a corrupt constitution.
It is the first act against the new and old political rule, which controls, against the one we must fight.
The story is simple, one day I wanted to explore a new way to compose, I wanted to create a completely different music at the one I usually had done. This inquieteud only needed to make match with the indignation and with the impotence generated by the corrupt political class in my country (México), Something that I could not contain more, Rebel Empire.
The band is made by Silver Zeta on acoustic or electric drums and I at the voice and composition.
2. How did you get this name?
The name refers to imperialism that took place in México at the end of the century, in an ironic sense, because imperialism is still living in an absurd way but with different names, ones more sophisticated, that’s why the band name is in English.
3. How can you discribe the sound you produce?
Direct, strong and sophisticated.
4. What's general message you want to give throw his productions?
The claim of injustice, shouting through the songs.
5. What were your main musical influences that inspired you to produce your own sound?
This answer may disappoint many, though 2 bands were the ones that determined the basic line of Rebel Empire’s style (Laibach and DAF) The most influence comes from Nu Metal and Industrial Metal groups, as Megaherz, Oomph!, Letzte Instanz, Tanzwut, Eisbrecher and Rammstein until bands like Static X and Coal Chamber. Was also very influenced by mexican punk groups such as Sindrome y Graffitti 3X.
6. Are you open to collaborate with other bands, or done remixes for other ebm bands?
Among the bands or projects that Rebel Empire has remixed, i can name Red Industrie, Grosstracktor and Firemensch. Rebel Empire was remixed by Decade 2, Batch ID and Grosstracktor, and more in a field oriented electro exists remix by WARDROBE. Working with all these projects, as any interaction, has been very rewarding, not in the final product is the delivery of the remix, if not the process and dialogue established with such projects in the range of the proposition and delivery thereof. Knowing and understanding the perceptions regarding gender, production and the attitude they carry in their respective bands or projects, it's the most enjoying you can feel!!
7. How is the EBM scene in Mexico?
The EBM scene as such, is having a boom recently. A few years ago there wasn't exponents dedicated strictly to the genre, except the legendary draft Decada 2, the others projects were more dedicated to industrial, like the hard electro and electrodark, but not with the traits of the EBM classics.So I consider the EBM scene in Mexico new. 8. What is the news from this year?
For this year comes big plans for Rebel Empire, because with the new member band (Silver Zeta) on drums, the issues will have a different dynamic and with highest energy. Also we want fully enter in a professional studio, to record what will be the first items on our first album, which may see light early next year. The live shows will be also very different, I dare say that this year is the direct refente for what will be Rebel Empire's future.
9. What do you think about our compilation?
I think it is an important part of this new wave, the reborn of the interest to the Ebm. I hope a recognition fot all bands of Spanish language, sure there will be a significant worldwide impact.

1. ¿Para aquellos que no conocen a Rebel Empire, puedes presentar por favor a tu banda, tu historia y sus integrantes?
Rebel Empire nace como una respuesta, como un grito, un reclamo hacia las personas que nos imponen y piensan que no tenemos voluntad ni derechos que ellos mismos de manera hipócrita escribieron en una constitución corrupta. Es el primer acto en contra del nuevo y viejo imperio político, el que controla, contra el que hay que pelear.
La historia es simple, un día quise explorar una nueva forma de componer y crear música totalmente diferente a lo que hacia usualmente, y a esa inquietud solo le hacia falta hacer química con la indignación y la impotencia que genera la corrupta clase política de mi país (México) algo que ya no pude contener más, Rebel Empire.
La alineación está conformada por Silver Zeta en la batería acústica o eléctrica y yo en la parte de la voz y composición.
2. ¿Cómo nace la idea del nombre de tu banda?
El nombre hace alusión al imperialismo que se vivió en México a finales de siglo, en un sentido irónico, ya que el imperialismo aún se sigue viviendo de una forma absurda pero con nombres diferentes y más sofisticados, de ahí que sea en inglés el nombre.
3. ¿Cómo se puede discribe el sonido que usted produce?
Directa, fuerte y sofisticado.4. ¿Cual es el mensaje general que desea darle a sus producciones?
5. ¿Cuáles fueron tus principales influencias musicales que te inspiraron a hacer tu propio sonido?
Esta respuesta tal vez decepcionará a muchos, ya que a pesar de que 2 bandas fueron las que determinaron la línea básica en el corte de Rebel Empire (Laibach y DAF) la influencia de Rebel Empire viene más de grupos de Numetal y metal industrial, grupos como Megaherz, Oomph!, Letzte Instanz, Tanzwut, Eisbrecher, Rammstein hasta grupos como Static X y Coal Chamber, agregado a eso influyeron mucho algunos grupos mexicanos de punk como Sindrome y Graffitti 3X.
6. ¿Como es la escena EBM en México?
La escena EBM como tal, está teniendo un auge reciente, ya que hasta hace pocos años no había exponentes dedicados al género de manera estricta, ya que a excepción de el legendario proyecto de Década 2, los otros proyectos estuvieron más dedicados al industrial, posteriormente al hard electro y electrodark, pero no al EBM con sus razgos clásicos; de ahí que yo considero la escena EBM como nueva aquí en México.
7. ¿Te han remixeado tus temas o has hecho remixes, para otras bandas de EBM, cuales son y como ha sido trabajar junto a ellos?
Entre las bandas o proyectos que Rebel Empire ha remixado, se encuentran Red Industrie, Grosstracktor y Firemensch por mencionar algunas.A Rebel Empire lo han remixado Década 2, Batch ID y Grosstracktor, y por parte de bandas orientadas más en un terreno electro existe un remix por parte de W.A.R.D.R.O.B.E.
El trabajar con todos estos proyectos, como cualquier interacción, ha sido muy enriquecedora, no tanto en el producto final que es la entrega del remix, si no el proceso y diálogo que se establece con dichos proyectos en el intervalo de la proposición y entrega de los mismos. El conocer y entender la percepción que tienen respecto al género, la producción y la actitud que llevan en sus respectivas bandas o proyectos es lo que más disfruto.
8. ¿Cuáles son sus planes para este 2012?
Para este año se vienen planes a otra escala para Rebel Empire, ya que con mi nueva compañera (Silver Zeta) en la batería, los temas van a cobrar otra dinámica y mucha más energía, además de que pensamos entrar de lleno a un estudio profesional para grabar lo que serán los primeros temás de nuestro primer albúm que posiblemente vea luz hasta inicios del próximo año. Los shows en vivo serán también muy diferentes, me atreveria a decir que este año es el referente directo para lo que será Rebel Empire en el futuro.
9. ¿Qué piensa usted acerca de nuestra compilación?
Opino que es parte importante de esta nueva oleada, de este interés renovado hacia este género y sus nuevas y ya reconocidas propuestas especialmente de habla hispana, de la cual, seguro habrá una repercusión importante a nivel mundial.
